These paintings were made in the studio I had in Greenwich from 1977-95.  The theme of these paintings was abstract in construction and I was interested in an evocative sense of place.  Some of the poetics of Robert Graves’ White Goddess provided a spur to natural imagery and fluid paint motifs.

Eddies Chute is now in the HSBC collection.  Memory and Wheel won a prize at the Athena Awards 1988.  Savage and Benign featured in Lead and Follow the collection of Robert Loder.
